Diverse London campus with flexible academic programme!

What Makes Us Unique:
Queen Mary University of London is a leading research-intensive university. As the only Russell Group campus university in London, you have the chance to study abroad in one of the busiest and most exciting capital cities in the world, yet live in the safety of our own campus community, alongside the beautiful Regent’s Canal and Victoria Park and next to some of the coolest neighbourhoods in the city including the likes of Shoreditch, Dalston and Hackney, known for their pop-up restaurants and More independent stores, colourful graffiti and amazing nightlife.
With a long and distinguished history, our university ranks 12th in the UK and is proud of being one of the most diverse and inclusive campuses, with 50% of our student body being international, and looking at our undergraduate student body, over 69% are from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds and 57% are first generation university attendees. With around 1,000 students choosing the Queen Mary Study Abroad programme annually, you would be joining a large and very international family!

What’s Included in Our Programs:
Most students who choose the Queen Mary University of London Study Abroad programme opt to study four classes for their semester abroad with us, often studying across academic disciplines to fit their programme’s requirements back home, and living in one of our halls of residence on campus. This usually comprises one single bedroom, often with en-suite bathroom and shared living and kitchen areas with flatmates consisting of Queen Mary degree-seeking students and fellow Study Abroad students. More
We offer a wealth of pastoral support, prior to your arrival, during your stay and beyond departing as a valued member of our alumni community. A welcome orientation week includes campus tours and events and activities to help you make new friends; pub quizzes and walking tours of the local area, trips to our local independent cinema and kayaking along the Regent’s Canal next to campus, alongside an invitation to join the UK’s only Wellbeing programme created for Study Abroad students which could see you join an eight week Mindfulness programme run by our colleagues at the University of Oxford’s Mindfulness Centre.
Academically, you would be supported by our Study Abroad Coordinators who are academics within each of our 14 academic schools. They are here to support you through this challenging and enriching new academic culture.
Our team is here to ensure you thrive during your study abroad programme and alongside our active Students’ Union, there’s plenty on offer for you to get involved! You’re welcome to join any of the clubs and societies open to our students: religion and faith groups, academic societies, sports clubs such as basketball, football and rugby, yoga or Pilates, and even look at joining societies like Harry Potter society and Cheese & Wine society if that’s what you’re in to!
We offer a fully integrated Study Abroad programme for those of you interested in experiencing real life in a British university; on a London campus.
