Study at UniMelb for one or two semesters. As a comprehensive university, choose from classes across 150 majors, with no impacted majors. We open additional sections of More courses when there is demand and more than 400 subjects have no prerequisites. If research is your passion, we offer a selection of research subjects in science, engineering and the environment. Meaning there are lots of options and flexibility tailoring your studies to suit your interests. Plus a plethora of student clubs and sports to add to your experience.
Our campus is in a safe, residential neighborhood close to Little Italy and the Melbourne Biomedical Precinct. We’re situated in the heart of Melbourne, a city seven times voted the most livable in the world. Explore our famous cobblestone lanes and dynamic street art. Melbourne is renowned as a destination for foodies and coffee lovers, with a thriving live music scene and the country’s sports capital. Our beaches are 45 minutes away by tram. And Australia’s unique fauna and stunning landscapes are an easy day trip away.

What’s Included in Our Programs:
Study 3-4 courses (subjects) each semester across a wide range of different disciplines. Guaranteed housing for study abroad and exchange students, in either one of 10 residence halls (called colleges in Australia) or in student apartment style accommodation. Welcome day for newly commencing Study Abroad and Exchange students, coinciding with the university wide orientation where students can join one of the many student clubs. The Global Learning team also arrange coffee catch up and other More events throughout semester so students can stay in touch and connect with local students who have just returned from studying overseas or who are about to go overseas. Study abroad students from all disciplines are invited to apply for the Global Exchange Accelerator, a team-based, extracurricular experience, working with local UniMelb students to develop a market entry strategy for a real-life client.
