What Makes Us Unique:
At UCC, we offer students the opportunity to truly immerse themselves in Irish university life. Students of all majors are welcome and may take courses across a variety of academic disciplines. We also offer an exclusive and exciting Early Semester Start program to provide visiting students with an immersive introduction to Irish Studies prior to the beginning of the Fall semester. Students may live in UCC campus accommodation or UCC-vetted, off-campus student apartments, all of which are steps More away from the vibrant Cork city center.

What’s Included in Our Programs:

Study abroad students are fully registered UCC students during their time with us and may take advantage of all of the clubs, societies and student supports UCC has to offer. We offer a dedicated Orientation program for visiting students every semester, in order to acquaint you with UCC and Cork prior to the beginning of the academic term.

The GPA requirement for study abroad at UCC is typically 3.0 or above. However, applicants with GPAs between 2.8 and 3.0 will be considered in exceptional circumstances.

Please note that students applying to study abroad at UCC via study abroad providers should contact the advisors of these programs directly for application information.

Things To Do

With over 100 societies and sports clubs to choose from, we encourage wellness of body and mind in our students. Activities range from trampolining to the Science Fiction Society, with something for everyone. Students can also make use of our state-of-the-art sporting facilities, which are free to registered UCC students.

And don’t forget that UCC is steps away from the heart of Cork, Ireland’s second-largest city! Cork offers students all the advantages of a bustling, vibrant and cosmopolitan city, with parks, galleries, shops, restaurants, theaters and historical buildings in abundance. It is a safe, friendly city that is easily navigable by foot or bicycle. Just outside the city, County Cork provides some of the most stunning coastlines and walks in Europe with plenty to see and explore during weekends and breaks.
