What Makes Us Unique:

by watching our video: vimeo.com/155809040
The University of Edinburgh is located in the very heart of Scotland’s capital; a capital which is consistently considered one of the most desirable places to live in the world, and is also ranked the greenest in the UK.
Despite its small size (and population of only 500,000 people), Edinburgh has all of the social and cultural assets of a city. It’s no surprise that More Edinburgh is one of the UK’s leading tourist destinations, coming second only to London.
The University of Edinburgh has been at the forefront of knowledge since it was founded in 1583.
Today, we’re proud to be ranked in the world’s top 20 universities, QS World University ranking 2020
We encourage our students to get involved with as many clubs and societies as possible whilst in Edinburgh, and there are over 290 to choose from: there is a society out there for everyone!
The University of Edinburgh is proud to have a diverse student body, including over 14,600 international students from more than 150 countries.
While the trajectory of the pandemic remains unclear for 2021/22, the University’s commitment will remain the same, that we will offer you a rich education that prioritises student safety and makes sure you get the best out of the University and
the city. The Scottish Government are working towards a “zero covid” Scotland. The University of Edinburgh has been putting in place measures that are appropriate and supportive as the situation continues to evolve, and consults closely with the Government and Public Health Scotland at all key stages.
