TEST

Welcome to the Virtual Study Abroad Fair!
The global pandemic halted our study abroad programs last spring.  We brought students home and cancelled last summer’s programming.  As we begin to plan for the future, we want to help our students and their families plan for study abroad.  We know it is the dream of many students to spend a summer or semester traveling the world and experiencing new cultures.   Thank you for taking the first steps today and learning more about the opportunities that await!

Please use this virtual fair to explore the many global opportunities we offer at CNU and through Study Abroad Organizations.  This site will remain open through mid-November as a resource for you.

Tips for Getting the Most From the Fair

At the virtual fair, you will see a wide variety of programs and options for study abroad.

  • Partner Program Options (Also known as NON-CNU Programs): These includes independent organizations, with considerable experience in the field, who facilitate programs abroad. The organization will work with the student on items like the application process, sourcing housing abroad, flights, course enrollment, visa application and on-site support. In some cases, the program is one location/university, but the majority of these programs have a wide variety of offerings in locations around the globe. External Programs are offered during the semester and summer terms. Credit is awarded by the hosting university (This may be a U.S. or International university transcript), and will appear on student’s transcripts as transfer credit. Students must receive approval from the CNU Study Abroad Office to attend an External Program.  Financial Aid and Scholarship may be applied to these programs after CNU approval is given (additional forms are required by the CNU Financial Aid Office).  Students will be billed by the program and will pay the program directly.  This could impact the use of GI Bill and Prepaid Plan in some cases.
  • Faculty Led Options (Also known as CNU programs): These are coordinated and run by a CNU Faculty leader.  Each program will have one or two CNU faculty accompany the group of students and will teach a course on-site.
  • Exchange Program Options: These are agreements with universities to exchanges students for a semester.  These are specific to academic departments with CNU, except the Chinese exchanges, which are open to any student seeking experience learning Chinese language for a semester.

You can click through and read more about the different programs, as well as chat live with program faculty and representatives during the live event time (Wednesday, September 30 from 6-8pm). This page will remain accessible through mid-November for you to revisit!

Study Abroad Student Ambassadors – Meet our Students!

Speak with students who have returned from study abroad.   We have student panels in October you are welcome to attend.  You can also contact our ambassadors by emailing sasa@cnu.edu and one of our ambassadors will reach out to you. We have students who have traveled all over the world to more than 20 countries, who are excited to speak with you.

Student Panels

Join us in October for lunchtime panels of returned students.  We’ll discuss popular programs, money & finances, and the FUA program in Italy.

The current global situation has kept many of us cooped up in our homes, unable to travel and have the global experiences we crave.

But the world will heal, and we will travel again. The pandemic has changed our lives, but not our dreams! Now is the perfect time to start planning for a global experience.

Tips for Getting the Most Out of the Fair

Our virtual fair is a chance for you to learn about the assortment of global experiences available to Rutgers students. You can click through and read more about the different programs, as well as chat live with program faculty and representatives during the live event time (Tuesday, September 29, from 2:00-5:00 p.m.). This page will remain accessible through the rest of the semester for you to revisit!

Be sure to explore the following:

  • Program Partners – Browse our university partners and providers who offer programs around the world and chat with program reps.
  • Faculty-Led Programs – Talk to the Rutgers faculty who lead short-term programs.
  • University Booths – Chat with study abroad advisors, learn about scholarships/financial aid, talk to Rutgers academic departments, etc

*A VIDEO CHAT link will be provided for each program with a representative available. For the “University Booths”, expand the program box to find the video chat button. Video chat will only be offered during the live fair date/time.

Welcome to Stetson University WORLD Virtual Study Abroad Fair!

Our fair will be LIVE on January 27th, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm.

We understand that you have questions about whether or not studying abroad will be possible this year.  The pandemic has changed our lives, but not our desire to go beyond our classrooms and explore the world. We will travel again and now is the perfect time to start planning for a global experience.

Use this virtual fair to explore the many global opportunities we offer.

In order to receive Cultural Credit, students must join us during the Live Zoom Fair on January 27th from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm and visit 3 breakout rooms.  After visiting three breakout rooms, please message the host your Stetson 800# to receive Cultural Credit.

Tips for Getting the Most Out of the Fair

Given the limitations of the technology, we have included our Affiliate Programs in the University Booths section of the fair.  If you are unsure of what program is right for you, please contact us at world@stetson.edu, set up a meeting with our Peer Advisors, or join us during the Live Zoom Fair.

The majority of Miami students who study abroad participate in faculty-led programs. These programs consist of Miami faculty members accompanying a group of students abroad or to locations within the US, typically during the summer and winter terms.

  • Students take Miami University courses, so there is no transfer credit process, and grades apply to the overall Miami GPA.
  • Many programs include major or minor courses, or students can choose to use the credit towards Global Miami Plan requirements.
  • Students will pay tuition and fees to Miami based on residency as if they were at the Oxford campus, and a supplemental program fee is also charged to cover expenses such as housing (cost and inclusions vary across programs).
  • Federal financial aid, Miami scholarships, and tuition waivers may apply.

Faculty-led programs are good for students who want to…

  • Enjoy the comfort of being with a Miami group
  • Take classes with Miami professors and earn Miami credit
  • Pay Miami tuition, and use available Miami scholarships
  • Fulfill Global Miami Plan requirements, including Global Perspectives, Thematic Sequence, and Foundation courses

Please browse through the virtual fair and learn more about our partner programs. Be sure to also view Study Abroad 101 for all of the basic information about how to select a program, financial aid, scholarships and much more. You’ll also notice a Zoom link to chat with the director, Kim Justeson, during the fair hours and attend informal sessions about different topics such as financial aid, impact of COVID on study abroad, etc. At any time you can make an appointment on Handshake with Kim to meet virtually about the best options for you. You can also visit Kim’s virtual office.

The lab is designed to leverage the UN Global Goals as a blueprint for understanding global problems that need solving, like poverty, gender equality, and climate action – among many others – for a healthier and happier world. Your work will result in a pitch deck and investment proposal of a viable business model that you will present in a virtual boardroom. Hop on API’s zoom link to ask more questions about this exciting opportunity!

Lastly, during the fair, hop on LiveChat here to speak to one of the CGE staff members for questions about the study abroad process at Simmons and will be able to make follow up appointments to discuss some of your questions/concerns at length.

Le Moyne College highly encourages its students to study abroad. The Office of Inclusive Excellence and Global Education (IEGE) handles all study abroad programs. LMC currently has exchanges in 13 different counties. If you are interested in a country we do not have an exchange program in you may use one of our partner institutions. Students can go as early as their sophomore year, but must apply a year before they plan to study abroad.  If students go through an exchange program, they can go for a semester or a year and only pay the cost of being an LMC student. In addition, there are scholarships at LMC for which you may apply. If you use a partner provider, IEGE will still work with you to secure the best possible financial outcome.

If you have a strict program of study at LMC, you may wonder if you will be able to study abroad. Please contact us directly so we can work with you to make your dream of studying abroad come true.

Students apply a year in advance and IEGE prepares them for their abroad experience with various pre-departure meetings, choosing classes and connecting them with embassies if possible.

Join your fellow Dolphins to add a high impact experience to your college career. Studying abroad has many benefits.

Please remember, as you view provider information, that the Berry financial structure for semester programs will impact the budgets that you see. Berry students on semester study abroad programs pay their normal Berry tuition. Then, you’ll pay the program’s room/board instead of your housing here at Berry. Any eligible financial aid can be used toward your program! We’re happy to discuss budget specifics with you, if you have questions.

There are also scholarships available through Berry for those on Berry-approved programs with at least a 2.5 GPA. Up to $500 for summer and up to $4,000 for full semesters.

Speak With a Faculty Program Director

Many of our faculty are available right now via a Zoom meeting to answer questions. To speak with a faculty program director, simply find the program below that you are interested in and join with the Zoom link.

If there is no Zoom link, then that faculty program director is not available. However, you can still get in touch with them by selecting the link “Request More Information“.

Speak With an Education Abroad Advisor

If you have more general questions about education abroad, our education abroad advisors are available via chat. Simply head to our homepage and use the chat function to speak with an available advisor.

Additionally, advisor Annalee Jones is available during the fair via Zoom. To speak with her about program options, scholarships, and more, simply join this Zoom meeting.

What are faculty-led programs?

Welcome to the CU Denver Virtual Study Abroad Fair!

Browse through our third-party provider and faculty-led programs featured here on Luna Fairs. If you have questions, or would like to learn more, drop-in to the table of your choice on Airmeet on January 26th between 11am and 2pm.
